Monitoring of Selected Hydrographic Parameters in Mississippi Sound (2008-2010)

Dataset extent

Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors

Two stations were established for the placement of multi parameter YSI 6600EDS V2-4 units located at Cedar Point pier and Portersville Bay, Alabama. These units measure water temperature, water height, dissolved oxygen, salinity, chlorophyll, and turbidity. Probes were mounted approximately 0.5 meters off the bottom. Stations were monitored and data downloaded at approximately one month intervals. Data was transcribed at the Marine Environmental Sciences Consortium office and reported to the Marine Resources Division office on Dauphin Island.
