Alabama Phytoplankton Monitoring Network: phytoplankton composition and abundances along the Alabama coastline (2007-2011)

Dataset extent

Phytoplankton identification and enumeration from nine regular stations (and one occasional) along the Alabama coastline from 2007 to 2011. Phytoplankton are broadly categorized as dinoflagellate, diatom, or other, and identified to lowest taxon possible. A number of water parameters were measured during each sampling event, including air and water temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, chlorophyll, nitrogen, phosphorus, silicate, pH, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, and water clarity (secchi disk).
