Cownose Rays in the northern Gulf of Mexico: Gut Content Analysis 2007-2009

Dataset extent

Gut content data for 182 cownose rays (Rhinoptera bonasus) captured by gillnet in the northern Gulf of Mexico between 2007 and 2009. The data were collected as part of a study that examined the foraging ecology of two myliobatid species (cownose ray and spotted eagle ray - Aetobatus narinari) through gut content analyses, acoustic telemetry and field manipulation experiments where rays were excluded from natural foraging areas.
