Cownose Rays in the northern Gulf of Mexico: Acoustic Telemetry 2009-2012

Dataset extent

Acoustic telemetry data for 34 cownose rays ((Rhinoptera bonasus) captured in the northern Gulf of Mexico between June 2009 and September 2010. Data were collected until April 2012. This dataset is part of a study that examined the foraging ecology of two myliobatid species (cownose ray and spotted eagle ray - Aetobatus narinari) through gut content analyses, acoustic telemetry and field manipulation experiments where rays were excluded from natural foraging areas.
