DISL Fisheries Ecology Lab: SEAMAP Bottom Longline (2010-present)

Dataset extent

Catch data from bottom longline sampling in Alabama coastal and nearshore waters, to the north and south of each barrier island. Sampling occurs monthly between March and October, using a random stratified block design. Captured fish are identified to lowest possible taxon, measured for length, and weighed when possible. Temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen data are also collected during longline soak time.
