Water Quality and Turbidity in Deer River and around Gaillard Island, Mobile Bay, Alabama (1980-1982)

Dataset extent

Hydrography and turbidity data were collected from 16 stations around Gaillard Island, monthly from March 1980 to August 1982, at multiple depths from surface to bottom. In addition, 3 stations in the Theodore barge canal (Deer River) were sampled at 2 hour intervals for 24-26 consecutive hours monthly from March 1980 to September 1981. The station at the mouth of the river was also sampled twice per day for 5 consecutive days monthly from March 1980 to August 1982, and the most upstream station was added to twice per day sampling monthly from October 1981 to August 1982. Data include water temperature, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and total suspended solids.
